Torrey C. Harris is a Democratic candidate seeking election to the Tennessee House of Representatives for District 91. Currently serving in the Tennessee General Assembly, Harris identifies as a Christian and works professionally as a Chief Operating Officer and Public Relations Consultant. He holds a degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Christian Brothers University. His legislative service includes membership on the Agriculture & Natural Resources, Civil Justice, and Transportation Committees, as well as the Children & Family Affairs Subcommittee. Harris has held leadership roles within several community organizations, including serving as Board President for CHOICES Center for Reproductive Health and as an Advisory Board Member for Methodist University Hospital. He is also an elected At-Large member of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators and a board member of The Headliners Memphis. His professional recognition includes being named a 2021 Memphis Flyer 20 under 30 Honoree, a 2021 MBJ Business of Pride Honoree, and the 2022 Harvey Milk Legislator of the Year. Harris is a member of the NAACP and continues to engage in civic leadership through these various professional and advocacy affiliations while pursuing his current bid for state office.
