Oscar Brooks is a long-time Arlington resident and incumbent candidate for Alderman Position 4. A resident of the town since December 1979, Brooks first won election in 2003 and most recently secured re-election in August 2022. He serves as a foreman for FKI Logistex Integration Division, a company that designs and manufactures conveyor systems. His civic engagement extends beyond his current office; he has been active in the Arlington Athletic Association for thirteen years, including four years as its president, and serves on the Parks & Recreation Committee. Brooks’ platform focuses on community growth and family-oriented development. He advocates for expanding retail business opportunities within the town while simultaneously increasing sports programs for youth. His stated goal is to make Arlington an ideal location for raising a family. Brooks is a graduate of Bolton High School in Arlington and attended Memphis State University for two years. He identifies as Baptist and lists hunting, fishing, water skiing, and coaching youth sports among his hobbies. He resides with his wife of eleven years, Tammy, and their four children: Oscar Lee Jr., Dewayne Lee Parker Jr., Chase, and Alex. His long tenure in local government and active role in youth athletics form the core of his public service record as he seeks to continue his work in Arlington’s municipal leadership.
