Patrice J Robinson is a public figure who has served as a member of the Memphis City Council since November 2015 and as the Council Chairperson in 2020. Before her tenure on the City Council, Robinson was a member of the Memphis City/Shelby County Schools Board of Education for 13 years, where she held the position of board President in 2004 and 2007. She has over 30 years of professional experience in Human Resources, Training and Development, Counseling, Job Development, and Grant Writing. Robinson holds a Master of Science degree in Technological and Adult Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Personnel Administration and Industrial Relations from Memphis State University. She has been involved in various community organizations and currently serves on the boards of First 8 Memphis, Leadership Memphis, and Paula Ratchford Ministries. Robinson has received several honors for her exceptional community service. As a council member, she has co-sponsored the Pre-K Resolution, worked on economic redevelopment initiatives, and initiated the MLGW Share the Pennies Initiative and the Weatherization Task Force. She currently serves as the MLGW Committee Chair and council liaison for MLGW and the Aging Commission.
